Privacy Policy
1. No player account
Kaling does not ask regular players to create an account or provide an email address or password. Administration is separate and restricted to an authorised operator.
2. Data kept on your device
Your browser stores a randomly generated guest identifier, your nickname and country if you set them, favourite song identifiers, the equipped note skin, language and gameplay preferences, and Progressive Web App prompts. This data stays in browser local storage until you clear it.
3. Data sent to Kaling
When you submit a score, Kaling stores the score, grade, combo and related gameplay result together with the guest identifier. If you choose a nickname or country, that public profile information can appear with your results on leaderboards.
Kaling also records successful page views on the server to understand landing pages, referral channels and crawler activity. It does not store the raw IP address, full user-agent string or an analytics cookie for this first-party report. A salted visitor hash changes daily and is not designed to follow a visitor across days.
4. Google Analytics
Kaling loads Google Analytics 4 for aggregate usage and gameplay measurement. Google may receive browser, device, interaction and approximate location information and may use cookies or similar identifiers under Google's own privacy terms. Kaling does not use this data to send marketing email or sell personal information.
5. Why the data is used
- Operate gameplay, save submitted scores and publish leaderboards.
- Remember settings and favourites on the current device.
- Measure whether pages work, where visits come from and which search or answer-engine crawlers read the site.
- Prevent abuse and improve performance, reliability and content.
6. Hosting and disclosure
Kaling is hosted on Replit and uses service providers needed to deliver the website, database and analytics. Information may be processed where those providers operate. Kaling does not sell personal information or share it with third-party advertisers.
7. Retention and your choices
You can remove locally stored profile data by clearing kaling.app site data in your browser. Server traffic events are retained for up to 180 days. Submitted leaderboard scores may be retained to preserve rankings; contact us with your guest identifier if you want to ask about deletion of associated scores.
